WEC is an alternative Massage Therapy Licensing Program, approved by the State of Washington. The program consists of 608 class hours with a maximum of 1008 hours with electives and takes nine months to a year to complete, well beyond the requirements of the State of Washington.
The teaching course is unique in that it captures the essence of the founder's techniques and uses massage therapy as a platform for professional success, and wellness education.
This program is rooted in clinic training, hands on massage practice and experience. The WEC provides more one-on-one training than any other program in the state of Washington.
WEC does not try to push any one student through the same mold. We encourage each student to develop and use their own personal massage talents so that they may leave our program, not only with the academic expertise necessary to obtain a State License, but also with massage skills that will make each of them unique and able to become successful massage therapists.
WEC uses one on one instruction. Each person beginning instruction has the extra value of exposure and support from students that have graduated and are currenty practicing.
WEC maintains the highest regard for the student success, both in class, and in the professional world of massage. WEC was created for this purpose!
The Washington State Department of Health, Board of Massage, the sole governing board of WEC, has this to say, "The flexibility of this program will allow people to become licensed Massage Practitioners who would otherwise not be able to; the master trainers are the programs biggest asset, their level of knowledge is phenomenal, their enthusiasm contagious."
